Anyword Review for 2023: A Way to Boost Ad Marketing Text with AI

Anyword claims to help optimize marketing messages with artificial intelligence. We see what it’s all about.

If you’ve ever written an advertisement, email subject line, or social media post for your online store and thought, “That’s no good,” or “I need to hire a copywriter or marketing agency,” then it might be time to look for a more automated copy-improvement method. There’s an AI copywriting tool called Anyword, which takes your ad, email, SMS, or blog content and turns it into high-conversion copy, all by using artificial intelligence. In our Anyword review, we explore its pricing, notable features, and take a look at the interface to see if it’s worth the investment for online merchants.

Anyword Review: Notable Features

The overall premise behind Anyword is to take the messages you’re already writing for an ecommerce or regular website and to regenerate them using AI to boost conversion rates.

Therefore, all of the features align well with what an ecommerce merchant wants from her digital marketing campaigns, Google ads (for better SEO), and even product pages.

But what types of features should you expect when optimizing with AI for your store?

Here’s a taste of the main features:

A Predictive Performance Score System

One of the most exciting parts about Anyword – besides the primary features of fixing text for you – is a score that gets presented for every generated block of text that comes through the program.

As an example, you may write out a bit of copy for a Facebook ad selling smartwatch wristband replacements. You send the original text through Anyword, which then spits out an improved version that’s made to boost conversions through that ad.

Yet, that’s not the only thing you receive. As a bonus, Anyword provides an evaluation of the result by predicting its performance based on the marketing channel, original copy, and whatever Anyword came up with. You’ll see an overall performance score as well as several other metrics like who the ad copy is best targeted towards, using elements like gender, age, and shopping preferences to help hone your targeting choices.

Optimization for Dozens of Ad Copy Formats

In the world of ecommerce, ad copy can make all the difference between impressive sales and those that fall flat. It’s common practice to run dozens of native ads for the same product, and run A/B testing to see which ones perform well, while continuously tweaking elements like headlines, descriptions, and captions.

With Anyword, much of that tweaking is handled for you, since you can type in your initial batch of ad copy and wait for the automated, AI-powered engine to produce advertising copy that’s not only stronger in its written form but also catered to the ad platform itself.

And Anyword supports a large collection of ad copy formats, including the following:

  • Instagram
  • Twitter
  • Pinterest
  • Facebook
  • Google
  • Verizon
  • Many more…

Overall, it appears that you don’t have to worry much about where you post your ad, since Anyword manages the optimization for that particular platform with automation. Furthermore, you can link your ad accounts for continuous optimization into the future, rewrite the copy based on target demographics, and incorporate specific promos or keywords that must be included within the ad.

Support for Turning Landing and Product Page Text Into High-sales Copy

After advertisements, online business owners and marketers typically turn to landing pages so that those who click through the ads have somewhere to buy their products. And, of course, product pages make up a significant portion of the written content in your online shop.

Whether you’re not confident with your copywriting abilities, or you’d rather switch to a more automated, data-driven system (as opposed to relying on a person who may or may not know how to properly optimize), Anyword offers the ability to improve all of your product and landing page URLs.

It works similar to the ad copy improvements from the previous section, except you tell Anyword that you’re trying to fix a landing or product page instead.

The artificial intelligence tools go to work to establish high-performance CTA buttons, product names, product descriptions, and other elements like headers and sub-headers, all within a matter of seconds.

Blog Post Optimization with Help from AI

Blog posts require optimization as well. This is an interesting part of Anyword, because it can’t necessarily write an entire blog post from scratch, but it can take your ideas (like from an outline or roughly written post) and meld them into a more structured, readable blog post that may be publishable in the end.

You can type in specific keywords, intro paragraphs, and the ideal length, then watch as Anyword writes out a well-rounded article for you to post on your website. It even has some features that attempt to complete your sentences if you have writer’s block.

Having said that, we recommend double-checking and revising your articles, seeing as how you don’t want to assume an AI was able to make perfect sentences from scratch.

Email and SMS Optimization

Anyword also offers text-improvement features for more than ads and web copy. It taps into the messages you send out to customers for things like automated welcome emails, abandoned cart emails, and direct SMS messaging.

It works by telling Anyword that you’re crafting an email or SMS. The Anyword AI accepts whatever you type or paste in and restructures it so that you’re sending out engaging, attention-grabbing copy that’s meant to motivate your customers to either purchase products or check out your website.

What’s great about this feature is you still receive the performance score as you would for advertisements, making it clear what results to expect from Anyword.

A “Custom Mode” That Tries to Write Close to Your Own Voice or Brand Voice

Every brand should have a voice, whether that’s fun and eccentric, professional and to-the-point, or outdoorsy and whimsical.

For those companies that haven’t established a brand voice, the Custom Mode through Anyword analyses the brand voices of competitors to make your own voice closer in style to those in your industry. You can also insert current ad copy, emails, and marketing documents to have Anyword structure a brand voice by using your current voice as well.

Finally, it does more than establishing a brand voice for you; our Anyword Review showed that it evolves and continues with that voice to ensure a level of consistency throughout all marketing messaging into the future.

Continuous Optimization in the Background

Depending on your pricing plan, Anyword offers a feature where you can link the system to your online store and let it optimize your on-site marketing text at all times. Therefore, if you type in some new text for a product page, you’re presented with a better-crafted version of the copy without having to even open Anyword in the first place.

In short, all of the copy you create on your website gets analyzed without you knowing about it. You get notified of suggestions for that text, after which you can activate the changes or request rewrites.

Anyword Review: The User Interface

During our Anyword Review, we found the interface to be modern, sleek, and simple to learn. When you get signed up and logged in to Anyword, here’s how the process works for turning your text into high-performance copy:

  1. Paste in your text (or a URL with text on the webpage) and ask Anyword for the best possible copy for that particular type of channel or format.
  2. Select the format, desired tone, and style.
  3. Wait for a moment while Anyword generates an optimized block of text for the chosen format, along with a predicted performance score.
  4. Ask the AI to add text variations in the copy or rewrite the copy to make it sound a little different. You can also take multiple versions of the AI-generated text and compare them alongside one another.

And that’s about it. We love how you can create a simple list of projects, then click on the New Project button to get started with something like a Landing Page, Email, or Ad.

choose your campaign

The interface is simple and intuitive that just about any non-techie can click through the onscreen prompts, paste in their original text, and receive a beautifully crafted version that’s ready for publication.

And if the first round doesn’t come out the way you hoped, simply adjust the settings to make the copy more playful, or more catered toward a certain demographic, or with specific keywords included.

Anyword Review: The Pricing

What does it cost to get your ecommerce messaging analyzed and improved by artificial intelligence? Surprisingly, there is a free plan available for up to 1,000 words per month, after that it’s rather affordable, and you can sign up for a 7-day free trial without typing in a credit card number.

There’s no free starter plan, so the trial eventually ends. After that, you’re prompted to choose one of the following premium plans:

  • Free: 1,000 words per month. Other features include Social posts, ad copy, product listings, landing pages, and emails for 1 user seat.
  • Data-Driven Basic: $79 per month for artificial intelligence text generation of 30 words per month. You also get 1 user seat, as well as a myriad of text generation formats such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, text messages, blog posts, product descriptions, landing page copy, Pinterest, Outbrain, YouTube, Taboola, Verizon, Twitter, and call to actions.
  • Data-Driven Unlimited: $239 The features include everything from the previous plan, along with unlimited words, 5 user seats, tools to customize the Anyword system to write in your own voice. You can also link advertising accounts, run text generation for unlimited words, and add multiple user seats to your account. Finally, the Business plan offers a protective performance score to give you an idea of how well your copy performs.
  • Enterprise: $999 This plan also requires a demo to receive a custom quote. Features include everything from the previous plans, customized language models, API integration, and a direct customer success manager to guide you along the way. You also gain access to traffic acquisition management with advanced collaboration tools, optimization methodologies, and optimization for various small business goals. Finally, you can take advantage of things like cost-efficient user acquisition, advanced targeting technology, and cutting-edge Facebook lead capture features.

Anyword Review: The Customer Support

The level of customer support with Anyword depends on which payment plan you choose. The most helpful form of customer support comes in the Enterprise plan, where you get paired with a dedicated customer success manager who helps with onboarding and checks in to answer all questions you may have about Anyword.

The other plans can tap into the Anyword online resources, which provide a Submit a Request ticketing form as the main method for contacting the company.

support module

There doesn’t seem to be any phone number you can contact – and the live chat box is just another email form – but we feel that should be enough to satisfy users seeing as how Anyword is already so intuitive.

Not to mention, you can utilize the online documentation and Help Center to view the Getting Started guides and the FAQ. They also have a search bar on the Help Center for you to type in any keywords you want to bring you to the right articles. As for the content, it looks rather comprehensive for the getting started sections, with videos and a few articles about Javascript, blog posts, and generating ad copy with Anyword. You can also check out articles with visuals to handle questions like “What kind of copy can I create?” and “Where can I keep track of my word usage?”

In general, the help center section is a little sparse in terms of its article quantity, but we expect that to improve in the future.

We also like seeing that there are other ways to contact and learn about the Anyword brand. It has several social media pages on places like LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook, and there’s an Anyword blog that highlights trending insights on artificial intelligence and how to boost the effectiveness of your copyrighting process.

From an ecommerce perspective, the customer support from Anyword makes sense. You can sign up for the blog to receive tips on how to improve your ads, emails, and social media copy, while also sending in a quick email if you’re having any trouble with the Anyword copywriting software.

Can Anyword (Anyword.com) Help Optimize Your Marketing Copy with Artificial Intelligence?

The short answer to that question is a resounding yes. The charm behind the Anyword interface is that there’s not much to it to begin with. Any beginner can jump into the program, paste in some text, and see what comes out. Our testing showed mistakes, of course, but as long as you write fairly complete sentences, and input all of the essentials like keywords and promos, we’ve been very impressed with the conversion-centric improvements you see from Anyword.

From making your emails and texts more effective to boosting conversions for ads and product pages, we think it’s a wise decision for all merchants to consider a tool that could bring in the potential for significantly increased sales.
